If I buy a Motorola HD DVR DCH3416 will it work with Comcast?
So I'm sick of renting the HD DVR from Comcast for $20 a month. I figure I might as well buy it if I plan on keeping it for a long time. If I buy one online will it work if I just plug it in? Or have they made it so only their specific boxes will work with Comcast? Actually I didn't call comcast because I posted it in the middle of the night! It depends....you only getting the LOW DEF channels and recording those? Then it'll work. Any other setup and you Code it. Now...WHY not ASK Comcast? They do have TV Techs there too, I've talked to them before, especially when I go TECHNICAL on the Front-man there...
